Winter in Virginia can make the world seem like a grey, bland place for those of us who live here, but when a good friend and employee of Michael Shaps Winery asked me to take a few photographs for Michael Shaps’ social media presence, I knew it would be a good time. Though the vines weren’t the beautiful, vibrant green that we usually associate with central Virginia wineries, Michael Shaps is a wonderful, low-key venue for parties, families, or anyone who just wants to have a great glass of wine.
